Graduated with a degree in music from U.C. Davis.- Has been teaching piano professionally since the age of fourteen.
- An active member of the Music Teacher’s Association of California (MTAC) since 1972.
- Certificate of Merit Evaluator
- Membership Secretary for the Sierra Branch of the MTAC.
- Lifetime Delegate to the annual MTAC Convention.
- Studied under several well-known and influenctial pianists and composers including: Yuriy Oliynyk,Thomas Schumacher, Frank Wasko, and William Valenti.
- Studied as an extension student of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
